     There are several possibilities to reach Erfurt via plane

 

  • National airport Erfurt
    • Appr. 14 kilometers (8 miles) from the city centre. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. To reach the inner city centre, take tram line no. 4 (c. 20 mins.)
  • International airport Frankfurt

Additional you can fly with Ryanair from London Stansted or Barcelone to the small airport of Altenburg-Nobitz nearby Leipzig. After arrival, you have to use a public bus (once a day) or a taxi to reach the next train station in Altenburg. Starting there, you can travel to Erfurt by train within two hours. The conference venue the Kaisersaal in Erfurt - is centrally located. From the central train station you can either walk (c. 15 minutes) or take the tram number 1, 3, 4 or 6 in direction to the "Anger" (1 stop, 2 minutes).
